The instruments that used to collect the data were questionnaire and test. Population of this research was the fourth semester students of English department at STKIP YPM Bangko that consist of 159 students and the sample were 40 students that taken from random sample technique.
This research used descriptive quantitative method. The purpose of this research is to know about difficulties of the fourth semester students of English Department at STKIP YPM Bangko in finding the topic and topic sentence in paragraph. Based on that phenomenal, the researcher tried to research about the fourth semester students of English department at STKIP YPM Bangko difficulties in finding topic and topic sentence in paragraph. In fourth semester students of English department at STKIP YPM Bangko always get the difficulties to find topic and topic sentence in paragraph. This study aims to (1) examine the learning outcomes of students' reading comprehension in class III SD Inpres Parang Makassar using power point media (2) assessing the learning outcomes of students' reading comprehension in grade III SD Inpres Parang Makassar without using power point media (3) examining the effectiveness of power point media to improve learning outcomes for reading comprehension of third grade students of SD Inpres Parang Makassar.
